It’s nearing the end of November, are you ready for Christmas? Whilst most parents are still fighting over the latest toy or gadget for their little one, I can safely say and gloat a little, that I’ve done all my Christmas shopping for every family member including Sam’s family. I completed it all by October. Mad I know, but I did the same last year as I was scared I wouldn’t be able to finish it all and get everyone’s presents to them in time for Christmas as Emily was due to arrive the first week of December.
This year, I wanted to make sure everyone’s presents were done in time so I didn’t have to worry about it at a later date. For Emily we had decided I’d get her her presents and Sam would put money into her account, similar to that with her first birthday. Seeing as this is her first proper Christmas, she’ll probably be more interested in the wrapping paper more than anything else so I don’t want to focus too much on the practical side of things. I’ve spoken to parents who want to get mainly practical gifts for their children but we are desperately running out of space here and with that, comes limitations on what we can buy for her.
Christmas is one of the most hectic times of the year; there is just so much to get ready! Whilst we plan the preparations, buy
the presents, wrap them, hide them, order the food, post the cards and whatnot, it can be easy to feel like you’re not on top of things. Have you got everything you need for Christmas yet? There are so many websites out there that offer good deals but keep an idea on Facebook, eBay, Amazon and Gumtree. There’s plenty of offers but make sure you do your research as somethings may appear cheap but can be cheaper if you shop around.
