Emily may be too young for Santa Claus just yet, but I’ve decided to take Emily to see him with my sister and her daughter, Mya on Saturday whilst we’re up in Isleworth. Although Emily is small, most of the options for Santa are probably a little too mature for her, so we’ve decided this year to visit him at his grotto at the Treaty Centre in Hounslow. Ideally, we probably would have gone to the big grotto up in Kingston Upon Thames, but I don’t think I can handle a long queue a week before Christmas with a 1-year-old and a 5-year-old.
We’ve booked a slot in advance, which is a great idea, rather than waiting in a long queue in the cold. I remember as a child seeing Santa and we just had to wait to see him rather than today in the digital age. Hounslow is offering a visit to Santa’s grotto for £4.50 which includes seeing the man himself and a present. It will be interesting to see how she takes seeing Santa Claus, it really could go one of two ways. Here’s hoping she doesn’t totally freak out. Maybe we might even be able to get a photo too! Honestly, I’m not sure who’s more excited, Mya or me!
