If you’ve been on a different planet, you may have probably missed the biggest bit of news Disney gave out to the world the day before Valentine’s Day last week that Frozen 2 will he hitting cinemas at the end of the year.

Fan or not, the 2013 American 3D computer-animated musical fantasy film that took $1.276 billion at the Box Office, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen‘s fairy tale “The Snow Queen” was such a huge hit, most parents and children have seen it a gazillion times – I’d say I’ve seen it at least 100 times. The film tells the story of a fearless princess who sets off on a journey alongside a rugged iceman, his loyal reindeer, and a naive snowman to find her estranged sister, whose icy powers have inadvertently trapped their kingdom in eternal winter.

Like any young child or parent, this movie would have had a huge impact in your life. Through the storyline or the endless repeats of ‘Let It Go’ at ear-splitting volume in my friend’s car (I’m looking at you Bex) or constantly playing on my iPhone for the entertainment for my niece.

Roll on a few years, the excitement has died down a little and everyone is bouncing off the latest Mary Poppins movie. Until now. So you can imagine when Disney decided to make history the day before Valentine’s Day and surprise the world with not only the news that the movie would be released at some point this year but also a sneak peak trailer.

The trailer shows a raging sea, with a determined Elsa trying to compete against it, her sister Anna abandoned in the woods and Kristofer riding Sven the reindeer super-fast, and Olaf (of course).

Admittedly, it does look amazing.

I’m not sure if by the ti,e it comes out Emily will be interested in watching it. I have a few times now tried to get her to watch it but she’s not as interested in it as I had hoped.

Maybe that’s a good thing!
