Autumn Bucket List

Whilst the burning sun has refused to quit a few times over the last few weeks (I am not complaining!), I am so happy that autumn is here.

The mornings and evenings are darker, crisp fresh air feels your lungs and the besutiful leaves litter the pavements in all their wonderful glory.

Autumn is here and I’m so happy to see it.

I love summer and have loved the weather when we’ve had it over the last few months but I’m looking forward to the snuggly, cosy, toasty warmer times to come.

I’m embracing Blogtober this autumn with all my seasonal adventures, foodie recipes, pumpkin picking, Halloween movies and more.

There’s just something very special about this time of the year, don’t you think?

Crackling log fires (we don’t have one, but I can dream), hot chocolate, bristling leaves, crisp autumn air, the gorgeous colours, it’s just a beautifully picturesque season.

I’m looking forward to this season so much. I think Emily will really enjoy it too. Ramsgate is already a stunning location for beautiful bays and beaches, but with a short drive away we can go to gloriously enchanted forests too.

The magic of autumn is delightful. I love it. Even those darker nights, colder days, there’s just something so wonderful about it, don’t you think?

Emily is turning 3 in a few months and her active adventurous side will mean to king these tasks off my bucket list which be much easier to do.

Autumn Exploring

There are lots of lovely parks near our house. Ramsgate is lucky to have not only bays, beaches and plenty of land around to explore. This is a perfect way to explore wildlife, nature, enjoy the pretty scenery and let Emily’s wild side takeover.

Pick a Pumpkin

I’ve never done this before, so it’ll be a treat for both Emily and I. There’s a big field near Westwood Cross that around mid October starts to see hundreds of gorgeous burnt orange pumpkins that people can pay to go and pick. I can’t wait to do this. I think I’m more excited about this idea than most!

Carve a Pumpkin

I think Emily will love this, if not for the funny faces we could make, but probably for the mess that goes with it! Hopefully I can master a great looking Jack Skellington, but we’ll see!

Dress up for Halloween

We have dressed up on a few occasions for Halloween over the last few years and Emily has definitely been the best pumpkin out of all the patch but this year, I wonder what she’ll dress up as.

Trick or Treat

This will be the first year we can go trick or treating with Emily. Whilst Emily isn’t into the candy type of sweets, she’ll love knocking on neighbours doors and being in the moment with all the other kids in the area.

Bake Bake Bake

I don’t tend to bake a lot in the summer, because it’s too hot being around the oven. But now that autumn is here, I’m going to bake more. Emily’s taken an interest in baking so this is the perfect time to do all this and more with her throughout autumn.

Guy Fawkes Night

Whilst going to a local fireworks display sounds amazing, Emily was terrified last year, but we can have a look at some events locally and go from there.

Cook Cosier Meals

My slow cooker plays a huge part in my life so cooking more comforting meals that will delight all means I’ll blog more. But the comfier, the cosier, the tastier the better.

Sounds pretty perfect don’t you think?
